The "Crypto King" of Whitby, Ont., was nearly jailed twice in the previous two months for failing to cooperate with 119 creditors' $25 million bankruptcy action against him and his company

Pleterski provided what was needed "last minute" before those warrants were issued in September and earlier this month.

According to trustee records, Pleterski also sought ownership of the $45,000-a-month Burlington, Ont., mansion he rented.

Pleterski's lawyer Micheal Simaan told CBC Toronto that his client contests many of the charges against him and feels many of his donors' cash claims "have been outrageously inflated."

Simaan was contacted by CBC Toronto on Tuesday through email regarding the most recent events, but he choose not to respond.

"In a succession of margin calls and terrible deals," Pleterski told creditors in August, the trustee said.

This individual had a big lifestyle burn rate, but it doesn't account for the amount of money that's gone," fraud recovery lawyer Norman Groot previously told CBC Toronto.

Pleterski's mother drives a Porsche Boxster and Audi e-tron, his brother an Audi S5, and his father a BMW M8 and Bentley Bentayga.

Pleterski's investors have until Nov. 22 to prove how much they're owed in bankruptcy.
